Why Is Integrated Behavioral Health Important?
Integrated behavioral health has become the standard of care for health care delivery. According to the American Hospital Association "Integrated care goes beyond collaboration or coordination between separate physical care and behavioral care providers. The aim of integrated care is one system of care for physical and behavioral health delivered by the care team with different clinical specialties along the entire care continuum".

Integration Challenges
While Integrated Behavioral Health has become the standard of care for health care delivery, multiple challenges arise in developing an integrated care model. The steep needs of patient populations, time limitations, and cost considerations all contribute to the importance of timely, efficient, engaged interactions and team-based approaches to patient care.
Common Challenges

The COVID-19 pandemic fueled a dramatic upswing in the provision of virtual services. The uniqueness of this global pandemic provides an opportunity for health care organizations to adopt new methods of delivering services that can complement existing approaches to behavioral health.
Virtual Integration Challenges

Our Solution
IHPP has a proven methodology and over a decade of experience delivering a collaborative care model that is effective, gets results, and promotes health equity practices.

IHPP applies strategies specific to the integrated, primary care setting to build a comprehensive system of care while preparing a future workforce of psychologists to address the needs of populations with the greatest health disparities in primary care. These strategies have been honed and adapted to alleviate barriers to access to care and serve members of socio-culturally diverse under-resourced communities that may not otherwise have opportunities for psychological care.

IHPP can also complement and bridge existing approaches to evolving digital platforms. High touch in clinic enhances clinician effectiveness, person-centered engagement, triage, connection to appropriate treatment pathways, improved care team communication and collaboration and continuity of care such as symptom tracking, EMR integration, and bridging the two complementary services.

Our Record
IHPP has a track record of helping community partners create impactful quality integrated behavioral health improvement changes and outcomes and creating sustainable funding models.
